Great TV
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Excellent TV, I got it 15 days ago and it worked perfectly.
Easy to use, image and sound is excellent, the only bad thing is that it has few features to configure and does not have a sleep buttom.
Excellent buy.
GREAT TV
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS TV, LOVE THE PICTURE & THE IPOD DOCK IS REALLY AWESOME.
I ALSO FOUND IT EASY TO SET UP. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TV.
Awesome – Just too good for the price
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I would say this is the best TV in the market under 400$. Amazing picture…average sound and very good overall.
Thank you Amazon for such a great price and delivery.
Pros : Excellent quality, value and picture
Cons : Sound could have been better.
Definitely go for it ,if you are fine with 720p
excellent choice
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Great television– Amazon service was excellent. Received item before scheduled time.Even though this TV is only 720p the picture quality matches a bigger 1080p Samsung set that I have.
Excellent TV with one big drawback!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a great TV set with:
1. Bright, colorful pictures!
2. WIDE viewing angle (images still very sharp, clear, and colorful from the side)!
3. Good audio (no audio output jack, but don’t need it for bedroom use)
4. 3 HDMI inputs, Ipod jack
5. Nice looking also!
However, the main drawback (and reason I may return it) is that it will not connect to a PC properly (the native resolution is 1366×768, but it is not available thru the VGA connection, or HDMI connection either. CNET has reviewed it and they couldn’t get the right connection to a computer either.). The best resolution available when you connect to a PC is 1280 x 1024, but you get 2 large vertical black bars on the sides. You cannot zoom to fill the screen either, the only available option is “FILL SCREEN,” which stretches everything and make everybody in your pictures look fat.
I took my laptop to Best Buy and connected it to LG/Sony/Samsung models and they all worked perfectly (the 1366×760 resolution was available, so it wasn’t my laptop that’s causing the Panasonic problem, it’s the Panasonic TV).
(I also tried a Samsung LN32B460 HDTV, nice set with good PC connection, but had to return it because it had horrible view angles, you had to sit directly in front to see a clear/sharp picture, otherwise, the picture was washed out!)
I don’t hook up to a PC often, but if you buy a TV set that has a PC input, it should work properly, right?
If anyone has any suggestions to make the PC connection work right, please comment!
Nice for the price
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I only bought this because of the low price offer I received from 6ave Electronics. This is a 32-inch LCD which I got for less than $400 including shipping. I decided to use this to replace the 20-inch LCD in my bedroom and I have to say, the new standard for bedrooms needs to be 32-inch models. I have no problems with the color and I did little to no extra tweaking. I just set it to cinema mode and it’s great for me. And since it’s a Panasonic, it has the viera easy link connection which I love. If I want to watch a blu-ray dvd in my Panasonic Blu-Ray player, I just insert the disc and press play, the TV tunes to the proper input for DVD viewing. It also includes an iPod dock, which plugs into the back of the TV and you can use your TV remote to operate the iPod. This is a really nice TV with lots of inputs.
Great TV for the price!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
After conducting much research, I went with this TV to replace my old TV in my bedroom. I am extremely happy with my purchase. The picture is much better than I expected with 720p resolution, but I’d read that for under a 50″ screen the difference is negligible and that could not be more true. Even my SD channels look more crisp than on my old TV, and my blu-rays and video games look stellar. The viewing angle is very wide – I have to watch from what used to be a bad angle but I was pleasantly surprised in this department. This was noticeable in the store especially – this TV looked much better than similarly-priced models with similar specs.
I had a small issue with setup when I tried to auto program my channels – it took a few tries on different settings before I got it to work, but aside from that, setup was easy.
The sound is decent for a flat panel, but I found that I had to turn the volume all the way up to be able to hear it. I plan on buying an external sound system that will address this (most people I know do this with flat panels anyway as they are not known for their sound quality). It is important to note that if you have an older speaker system, it will not be compatible with this TV, as it only supports digital audio output.
The iPod hookup is a nice added feature, and I love that there are 3 HDMI ports.
This reasonably priced TV has exceeded my expectations and I definitely recommend it.
Great HDTV
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I bought this TV in December after reading a lot of online reviews and comparing different models. I love this TV. The on-screen menu and remote are so user-friendly that I’ve never had to read the owner’s manual. Just take it out of the box, plug it in, turn it on and you’re good to go. The picture is awesome– great colors. It has plenty of ports for attaching any other equipment you need to such as VCR, DVD player, stereo, computer, gaming system. It even has a place to insert a digital camera memory card so that you can display digital photos. After using the TV for a few months it continues to be completely reliable. I think this TV will last me a very long time. If you’re looking for a good LCD HDTV, this is the one.
Fantastic LCD TV
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I am incredibly pleased with this LCD TV. I have it connected to an xbox via HDMI and to my MacBookPro via HDMI using a DVI-D to HDMI converter.
It works just fine as a monitor. Text doesn’t display perfectly (the black text seems to glow with an array of colors against the white background of Word) but this is fine, as I would never use a screen this big to read/write! I use it to edit with Final Cut, for which it is perfect. Mind you, this TV is 720p, so things look big on it. A 1080p would be better for more screen real estate, but by all means this works fine (especially since 1080p’s are MUCH more expensive). HD movies look flawless and all video programs run like a charm. This is a TV, not a monitor, so you have to do some serious tweaking to get true color (if you’re color correcting). Which is difficult, since this TV does it’s best work when beefing up color.
All this being said, the TV truly shines when connected to my Xbox. I have the colors and contrast pumped up, and it looks GORGEOUS. I love it. Not really much else to say, other than – You will be happy with this TV.
I was concerned when purchasing because a lot of these Amazon reviews spoke poorly of the sound. I disagree. If you are looking for a chest-crushing in-theater experience, obviously, invest in surround sound. I use this TV in a moderately sized bedroom, and never turn it above 15 (1/5 of the volume). It’s perfect for my use – and quite crisp for dialog.
All in all, I strongly recommend this TV (especially at Amazon’s price – which was $400 when I purchased).
Fantastic Picture
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Much has been written about the great picture quality. I just want to add some clarification about ipod usage. Great interface for iPod and dock, much better than my new Pioneer receiver. Many have complained about the lack of analog audio out and I was thinking, who would want that anyhow? Anyone who cares about audio will pair it with a receiver. Since this is a bedroom sized TV (or budget TV), I have it paired with a Home Theater in a Box type and it only has analog audio input. So no ipod over the receiver, only the TV’s wimpy speakers. The TV does have optical out, so on any of my other receivers this wouldn’t be a problem, but at this price range they should have considered what it might be paired with.
Overall though I’d still go with this set for the outstanding picture quality.

This is undoubtly the best tv at the best value I have EVER purchased.
Beautiful picture, easy setup, great all around hdtv.
One odd thing, I have basic cable tv,but when I did the find channels it found HD channels that are not in my subscription pricing. Don’t why, but very happy.
Good TV
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
For the money this is an excellent tv. Theres a little bit of motion blur which is why i didn’t give it 5 stars, but i knew there would be so i’m not too dissappointed. Its just a bedroom tv and like i said it excels at that for the price.
LOVE IT!

Great picture! Never had a LCD flatscreen tv before. So I’m easily pleased, but I read a lot of reviews and found almost everyone was pleased with their purchase. I’m extremely pleased with picture and price. MOST definitely pleased with the price.
Good t.v. with some small, but meaningful, issues.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I bought this t.v. about a week ago from HH Gregg. I walked in, helping my parents make a decision on an upgrade (Samsung 42″ LCD) and ended up getting the Panasonic myself. First and foremost, I’m a gamer. I wanted a t.v. so that when I moved out, it would be big enough to become my “main” t.v. in my house, but also something that I could hook up an xbox 360 and (when the time comes) a PS3 as my blu-ray. The t.v. also comes with a Apple ipod dock, which I haven’t used yet, but will note when I do so.
The xbox looks and sounds great-I couldn’t ask for anything better. The images are sharp and each explosion, threat and car race are seen and heard. There are definitely some sound differences when moving through the various inputs. The t.v. volume differs from the xbox’s volume which differs from the PS2’s volume. What I mean is, in order to hear quieter conversations while playing a standard dvd in the ps2, I have to turn the volume up. However, the xbox, which I’ve hooked up using the component cables, no HDMI input (waaah), can be quieter, in the low 20’s, for me to hear everything perfectly. This is probably due to the difference in the cables as the PS2 is input using standard A/V cables (red, yellow, white).
My biggest problem with the t.v. is in watching a movie with darker scenes. The t.v. show Dark Angel uses a lot of night time lighting which the t.v. has trouble compensating for. The screen, at times, goes nearly dark trying to display the change in lighting. I have heard that this is sometimes a problem for the smaller, 720’s. As I have nothing to compare it to, I’m not sure. Just know that this is an issue. I would be interested in seeing if that carries across the board, with say, a blu-ray or HD dvd.
Anyway, if you’re looking for a good sized screen upon which you or your kids can play video games for a great price, look no further.

Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Very nice TV for moderately sized rooms. Picture quality is good from all angles. Audio is OK, but could use an up-grade. The shiny black finish is very handsome and should blend nicely into most decors.
I received it overnight via free shipping. All and all I couldn’t be more pleased.
Great TV/ Monitor
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Have been researching this TV and competitors for a few months, was able to get TV at $379 with free shipping and was an offer I couldn’t pass up. Taking into account the lack of an analog audio out (3.5mm) there is absolutely nothing lacking in this TV. I have my laptop connected via VGA cable and the display is fine, easily filling out the screen. It is hooked up to school cable and the auto channel finder easily found over 50 digital channels in addition to the 70 analog. The dozen or so HD channels looks absolutely stunning. I cannot compare this to other HDTVs or 1080P as this is my first TV, but I can vouch that SD channels, DVDs, and Streaming 480i from sources like nbc or hulu all look perfectly fine from the distance of 5 feet. The Ipod dock is automatic and works fine with my 2G Ipod Touch.
A few things that may bug some people are the remote which seemingly can only perform one function at a time; for example, it takes a second or 2 to change the channel and during that time you cannot say mute the volume or go into a menu without the TV forgetting to change the channel. As for the speakers, I cannot lie and say that they aren’t the strongest speakers ive heard, but I can watch most all channels and hear fine with settings between 10 and 20. I have yet to raise the volume above 50.
In conclusion, a great buy, I could not be more satisfied.
Vera iPod iPhone ready!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Having bought the product online not having seen it in stores before, I was impressed! This is such a great deal for a tv, and even better its a Panasonic. I was impressed by the picture quality and mostly the iPod dock that the tv comes with. I own a iPhone 2g and not only can it play the music and the videos on my iPhone, it CAN play the YouTube too!
Full screen youtube, directly from my iPhone.
Some cons are:
Well, It wasnt free… I really cant see any downsides, its a great deal!

A good starter LCD TV
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I bought two of these, one for a xmas gift and one for myself.
This is a very good 720p LCD for the price. Its not as crisp as a 1080p but good enough if you just need an LCD for casual viewing. I use mine in my office to stay on top of business news so excellence in picture quality isn’t my main concern. I have it hooked up to my personal computer and it is very useful as a second screen – just purchase a 8′ VGA to VGA cable and your good to go (Note: you need a video card that supports multiple monitors to pull this off).
I also have a RLink Wireless receiver and transmitter to avoid having to drill walls and install/split cable – it took works great with this TV.
Sound quality is quite good and the navigation controls with the remote is simple. It took me less than 10 minutes to unpack and set up. The size of this TV (32″) is perfect for the bedroom/office. I recommend getting a tilting wall mount also.
New Guy to HDTV very happy!

We’re a Flintstones-type family: using rabbit-ears antenna and just moving out of Sony Trinitron TV. Our Sony was excellent, best picture of any non-HDTV I’d ever seen. I hesitated on moving up because I was skeptical of how much difference it would actually make. My wife and I just spent various parts of Christmas Day peeking at (still rabbit-ears) basketball games, DVDS and morning parades and being unbelievably suprised and satisfied at the difference.
Through Amazon, the regular shipping speed (2 days) from ‘[...]‘ via FedEx blew us away…we thought it would be at least another week especially around Christmas.
As noted in other reviews, the TV menus are excellent and straight-forward. Sound is sharp/precise but doesn’t project too powerfully. Overall we are very satisfied with product and purchase process.
not perfect, but a lot better than my old TV!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I really like this TV. I am replacing my (Philips) Magnavox 20MS233S analog TV and beginning the transition to a digital HDTV.
The picture is crisp and clear and I like the different formats you can change to your liking. The picture color adjustments are great and can be customized for each input. I also like the manual channel labels you can add – but these labels will also be erased if you rescan your TV for channels. The sound is adequate and can also be adjusted to your liking. The inputs are also decent and sufficient for my needs (I have disconnected my A/V selector; I no longer need it). I absolutely love the ipod function on this TV! I can play audios and videos with no problems! (although low-quality videos from my iPod result in low-quality, fuzzy, or blinking on the TV)
I do have a few problems with this TV, though, the reason why I gave it 4 stars. There is no composite (or is it component? i always get them confused) audio output, which is a problem for my stereo. I need to buy a $50 converter in order for it to work with my TV. I cannot attach headphones, but I don’t see this as an issue because with a TV that large, I would feel awkward listening through headphones. I also cannot understand why I cannot view photos from my iPod on the TV (and it states in the description that the TV can do this!). Maybe I am missing something, but I cannot get this to work. Also, the “Remote” function is kind of dumb: why would I want to operate my iPod using the remote when I obviously cannot see my iPod from several feet away?
If someone can tell me how to get my iPod photos to display on the TV, please let me know.
Overall, this TV is a winner (at least a second-place winner, anyway), and I won it in a sweepstakes for no money and do not plan on reselling it.
Excellent TV for the money

This is a excellent TV. I was looking for a 2nd TV for my office. We currently have a 42″ Panasonic plasma in the living room. I first purchased a Sony 32″ TV, but quickly returned it. The Sony picture was horrible and had a lot of digital noise which I could not get rid of no matter how much I tweaked it. This Panasonic TV has an excellent picture, not quite as natural colors and deep black levels as my plasma, but still good none the less. The TV has many inputs, more then most will need, and the SD card reader and Ipod dock are nice features, even though I don’t use them. The TV’s pre-programmed picture settings are a little off. I found the colors to be overall too bright & saturated, which made extended viewing difficult. I find using the settings below provided good results in a well lit room.
Basic Picture Settings
Picture Mode: Cinema
Back Light : +90
Contrast: +100
Brightness: +55
Color: +40
Tint: 0
Sharpness: 0
Color temp.: Warm
Color mgmt.: Off
A.I. picture: Off
Video NR: Off
Advanced Settings
MPEG NR: Off
Black level: Light
I can’t really comment on the sound, since I have it hooked up to a home theater system. But it seems to provide adequate sound for a small room. Most people will want to hook up some external speakers for a better experience. I have used this TV with my Xbox 360 & HD digital cable, with no problems. Overall this TV provides good value compared to other 32″ LCD TV’s in the $400 price range.
Excellent value, great features, fantastic picture quality
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I had recently purchased the Panasonic TC-32LX14 for about $400 from Sam’s Club. I then discovered that this model, the TC-L32X1 was the exact same television with the addition of an iPod dock and it was being sold from the same big box store website for only $349. Wow, the same fantastic set plus an iPod dock for $50 less? It was a no-brainer for me. I returned the TC-32LX14 and bought the TC-L32X1 and could not be happier. Before I made the decision to do this, I did call Panasonic to confirm that the sets were identical and I was assured they were. It is only the iPod dock, and of course the different model# that differentiates these two sets.
I had spent a great deal of time researching LCD sets. I checked Consumer magazines, read reviews online and spent a lot of time in stores comparing many sets, both 720p and 1080p. I concluded that I needed a 32″ to work best in the space that I had available. The distance from where the TV would be placed to the sitting area was about 5-6′. I had read that you should roughly double the screen size do determine the optimum viewing distance. So for me, 32″ was just about right. I also looked at a couple 37″ and 40″ flatscreens, both 720p and 1080p.
After considering all the information I had accumulated I decided that the picture quality of the TC-L32X1 just cannot be beat, especially taking the price into consideration. Another set I looked at was a 40″ 1080p Toshiba Toshiba 40RV525R which was selling for $578 at BJ’s. The picture quality on the Panasonic was far superior even though it was “only” 720p.
The Panasonic has 3 HDMI connections, plus an SD card slot which allows you to view photos that have been uploaded to the SD card. I put about 75 photos taken from my digital camera and could not believe how good they looked on the TV… it was really surprising to me that they looked that good.
The only weak spot this set has is the sound. It is lacking in bass and lacks “punch”. This can be solved by hooking up an amp and speakers, like many people would do anyway. But if you do not intend to add external speakers, you might be a little disappointed with the sound. But you must also consider the sound relative to the price and for me I was willing to sacrifice a little to get such an otherwise excellent LCD television.
I like the way the remote control was laid out. It had some shortcut keys for commonly used functions and worked really well.
All things considered, this is one great LCD TV… it has very good to excellent picture quality, decent price and a brand name that you can put some trust in. Compared to the second and third tier LCD TV makers like Vizio, I feel this is a far better value and offers much better overall quality.
Pros:
-Excellent picture quality
-Seems well built
-Attractive appearance
-SD card slot enables TV to display slideshows of digital photos
Cons:
-Sound is not the best.

Panasonic TC-32X1 LCD
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Very good 32″ LCD television and is just the right size in our bedroom….. I believe that Panasonic beats them all hands down…. we replaced our very old CRT TV with this new light weight LCD and it does not take up as much space as the old unit did, which we really like…….. in my own opinion, this Panasonic LCD has the best picture and sound over the other brands, and I did a lot of comparing ….. I have owned my LCD TV for over a month now…. we use it in our bedroom… I really like the timer feature too…. we have it set to come on at 6:20 a.m. to wake us up and then set to go off at 6:30 a.m… Monday thru Fridays only…. the set-up menu and features is very user friendly. The remote is not lit… has no internal light… but I don’t think any of them have an internal light….. not a complaint, but the remote has more stuff on it than I will ever use…. I have owned my 42″ Plasma Panasonic for over 2 years now and I am very satisfied with it too…. The plasma has a little bit of a better picture, colors are more vivid, than a LCD has but a plasma also cost more money too…. and a plasma weighs more and uses more power than a LCD TV… I like my new Panasonic 32″ LCD so well that I just ordered the Panasonic 26′ LCD for the guest bedroom….I would give the 32″ and 26″ a five star except for the fact that they only come in glossy black, the frame and base, which looks very nice but shows every speck of dust. I even called Panasonic and complained about that…..for not offering an alternate color like silver or gray…. I think that most all of the other brands, under 42″, also come in only glossy black this year….. oh well…. my wife doesn’t mind the glossy black so she gives these TVs a five star….. I recommend this Panasonic TC-L32X1 LCD TV…… they are very nice and well worth the little extra money over the other brands……
Love it!!

We love our new TV, it works great. Luckily we had surround sound already, because the volume on the tv was not very loud. It also has a place to dock your ipod and view your pictures!! We are very happy with it!!
In store review.. will update… Very impressed.

While walking the long island of small HDTV’s… One things immediately stood-out about this Panasonic T.V.
Compared to all the other T.V’s (that were in a long row)… we noticed when we stood at a “angle”, the Panasonic picture remained crisp and sharp. The majority of other 32″ HDTV’s were “washed-out” at an angle.
99.5% of all other “exact sized” HDTV’s… became out of focus or “dim”…. when viewed at an angle.
This is very important (to my husband and I), because this Panasonic HDTV… will always…. have people viewing it at angle. (No couch or chair will be directly in front of this T.V.)
We saw this Panasonic model in “Three stores”. Hands-down, this 32″ Panasonic HDTV had the sharpest pictures and best, “true-color” … compared to all the other 32″ HDTV’s. in it’s class.
No headphone jack and poor speakers
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Silly me – I assumed all of these new flat screen tvs came with headphone jacks, or at least audio out jacks. Not this one! I’m hard of hearing and need either VERY loud sound or headphones to watch television. This model comes only with a digital audio out jack – no other audio out jacks. So I watched tv last night with the sound set at 80 and still had trouble hearing clearly. I was so pleased that I got a great price for this set, but the price really is that it’s too expensive to return it and get one I can use with headphones. My only other option, as far as I can see from searching the internet, is to purchase a stereo receiver with a digital audio in jack and a headphone jack, likely adding a minimum of $100 to the purchase price of this set to make it usable for me. Why, why, WHY would Panasonic make a television without a headphone jack or at least component audio out jacks in this day and age? And why didn’t I pay attention to the jacks it has (far fewer than on the smaller Samsung lcd tv we already own)? I realize this is my fault, but why did the company have to skimp on jacks?
Great LCD
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We purchased this Panasonic LCD to replace a 27″ Sony CRT in the spare room. The Sony served as kid’s TV, backup for the grownups, and gaming monitor. It was BIG and bulky but did an okay job. Since we have a 42″ Viera Plasma we decided to stick with the brand, but no plasmas came in a size small enough to fit the space in the extra room. I’ve become a bit of a plasma ’snob’ since getting that set, but have to say that LCDs.. at least Panasonic Viera LCDs, are a great alternative.
The picture is crisp.. sharper than what I see on my plasma, probably because of the lack of a glass screen cover. Although this is a 720p and not 1080p like the larger set it doesn’t make much of a difference due to the smaller size of the set. It’s hooked up to a Wii via component, a sony BD player via HDMI, cable via HDMI, and the PC via a DVI to HDMI wire. Using the VGA port designed for the PC connection wasn’t very crisp. I was using a very long wire for the VGA and can only assume I was losing some of the signal along the way. The only drawback to this set up is only the VGA connection lets you adjust the ‘PC Monitor’ categories in picture set up. I have a hard time with the 32″ Panny and my Nvidia graphics card getting the settings just right. But once it’s set it’s great. That’s an Nvidia limitation, though. When using the VGA you could adjust the set like a regular monitor for your PC.. manually aligning the screen to make sure everything was straight and fit in your field of view.
The specs on the set neglect to say it will handle 1080i, it does. The cable box and the BD player convert everything to 1080i, although I have to admit it’s not much of (any?) a difference considering the size of the set.
There’s only one component input on the set and the only audio out is optical. I still rate it 5 stars but only gave 4 on the features breakdown for those slight limitations.
The main thing I was worried about with the LCD was the strange motion I see on some friends’ sets. I think it’s the fancy motion compensation programming those sets use, though. Although the LCD can’t follow action as well as the plasma, there’s no weird digitized or over smoothing of the scenes on this set like others I’ve seen. Fast movement has that slightly noticeable refresh rate limitation, but it’s nothing that takes away from the scene.
Another thing I’ve seen panned on this set is the sound. At first I would have said the same thing.. but the default sound is not a good setting to have it on. There is a nice menu for sound set up, and once you adjust it for all the bells and whistles it sounds just fine in the little room I have it in (about 16′x16′). Like ANY TV.. you aren’t going to get massive booming $1000 home theater sound without a $1000 home theater setup.
I love this TV

For the price you definately cannot beat the quality and the included IPod dock made it even better. The picture quality is very good and the audio is loud and clear. I have it mounted on the wall of my office and it looks great.
Perfect for 32″

I have gone through many TV’s. I have owned Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, Sylvania, HP, Sharp, LG, Panasonic & Westinghouse. By far, the best brand for the money is Panasonic. This TV not only looks good hanging up, but it looks awesome visually. At 32″ there is no reason to pay for 1080P, you won’t notice any difference. This little guy looks and sounds amazing.
I have this placed in my guest room currently, and I find myself watching it more than my 46″ Sony. The menu is easy to navigate and the clarity is amazing. After buying all of the other brands, I will still always look to Panasonic first. I think there TV’s are top notch. Give this one a whirl, you will not be disappointed.

We purchased this TV for my 89 year old mother. Every step in the process was done well and would reccommmend this product and Amazon as the seller. It actually came from another entity but Amazon kept me informed all the way. The only difficulty was in ease of programming the remote to surf channels using the up/down arrow.Didn’t figure it out during our brief visit.
awesome tv for the price
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I got this tv on sale on black friday and it was a steal. I did a lot research and this was one of the best out there. The picture quality is great, the numbers of the channels aren’t too big on the screen and channel surfing is actually decent. (some lcd’s take forever to load the picture, so channel surfing is a no go). However, the sound sucks. The speakers are at the bottom of the tv, underneath and I can’t hear a thing! I thought, well no problem I’ll just add some computer speakers but there’s no jack for those so beware! I know others have mentioned it but I didn’t notice this when I was doing my research. Its not that big of a deal, but I have to have the tv really loud to get decent sound.
great tv

it was a very easy set-up, and the graphics are really nice for it being only 720p.
It is a 720 , but plays on 1080 too .

It works great . It is a 720 , But I’m watching it on 1080 with my HD satelite .
Amazon never shipped the item claiming unavailable
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
First I apologize for giving a one star rating for the TV. My review is directed at Amazon (I did go ahead and purchase this set for a friend from WalMart. Setup was a breeze and all basic functions were obvious. Picture is good. Sound is average – probably the best you can do with two speakers. Looks awesome).
I ordered this item from Amazon (Amazon was the seller) in mid-November for the $359, free super saving shipping. A few days later I’m notified that my order will not ship until after Christmas with an estimate of late December to mid-January. I thought maybe since I went with the free shipping that it was causing my order to be processed slower. I emailed Amazon and received a nice reply apologizing for the delay and they would give me 1 day shipping free of charge. About three weeks pass and I receive an email stating that Amazon hopes I’m enjoying the set and here are some accessories I may wish to purchase – but I don’t have the set. Later that same day I recieve and email saying that there are further delays and mid-February is their best guess.
I send another email – this time I wonder if they have advertised the unit at a price the could not get (and make a profit) and are just “waiting me out” , hoping I will cancel the order. Amazon replies again stating that their suppliers just were not getting them the unit (not a problem from some other vendors). Finally, I have just received another email (28 December) stating that they are not able to obtain the unit and have cancelled my order.
To say I’m extremely disappointed in their lack of willingness to provide an item they advertised as being “in stock” and at the price advertised, would be putting it mildly. This set is available at numerous locations. I would think to honor their commitment they would simply obtain it from one of their partners if necessary. However, there was no such effort or any other effort on their part other than to string me along for about a month and a half.
Obviously I’ll now go out of my way to avoid Amazon and encourage others to do the same.
What a bargain!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This set was purchased for my mother to use in her bedroom.
Set up was a breeze, as is the navigation of the various system menus.
Picture quality is stellar,
Started out with it hooked up to a Verizon Fios standard signal box and the picture was awesome.
Just switched it to a High Def box and WOW! Picture is amazingly crisp and sharp.
The sound isn’t earth moving, but I really didn’t expect it to be, in this price range, even with the ipod feature.
However, my 75 y/o mother, and her ipod, are VERY happy. She plugs in her ipod while she’s using her exercise bike, and she’s quite happy with the resulting tunes.
All in all,.. this was a steal @379.99 from J and R.
I’ve ALWAYS been extremely satisfied when dealing with them, and when I saw this TV on ad with them at this price it was a no brainer. (Especially when you factor in the Amazon gift cert I had from turning in my American Airlines Air miles.)
Bottom line,…..
I’ve got a 46″ Samsung LCD 1080p, and a 37″ LG LCD 1080p, in addition to this newest Panasonic, and it does not disappoint when compared to the other flat screens in the home.
Excellent Picture, Excellent Price

I have been a big fan of Panny TVs for a while… I have (2) plasmas already, and I decided to go a bit cheaper with an LCD for the bedroom. It looks amazing (asthetically and picture-wise).
32 in Panasonic
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This was my first major purchase online. I was hesitant to use this service, as Costco is usually my first choice for electronics. The price was better, so I took a chance. I was very pleased with the service. It arrived promptly, was easy to set up, great picture–no glare screen, which I really needed , because of it’s location. I have a 52 inch Pioneer Plasma, and the Panasonic LCD compares very favorably. I now have two DVR’s, two Excellent flat screens, and life is good.
Better than Samsung LN32A550!

Extremely pleased with Panasonic Viera after returning top-rated Samsung due to harsh chemical smell which never went away. TV was easy for me to set up by myself (small woman) and attaching the stand was a breeze compared to the Samsung. Picture is clear and the SD card slot is Great!! I purchased this tv at Best Buy as I was in need of it immediately, but I cannot say enough for the delivery service I received from Amazon when I ordered and returned the Samsung. Customer service was outstanding in dealing with the very stressful situation of a chemical smell coming from the Samsung. I finally was told by the salesman at Best Buy that this is NOT uncommon and depends on how much fire retardent gets sprayed on the circuit board.
In summary – hooray for the Panasonic Viera and Amazon’s continuing excellent selections, pricing, and customer service!!
Terrific TV for the money
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We purchased this unit for use in a bedroom where it is wall-mounted. The picture quality is outstanding, and for the money, it has plenty of features. Sound quality is OK but could benefit from a sound system. Overall, a great product.
EXCELLENT performance and value !!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Everything about the purchase, delivery, and set-up of this HDTV was far beyond my expectations — as was the amazing picture quality and technical features !!
Once again, the Consumer Reports’ top-rated model, in this case, the Panasonic Viera TC-L32X1 32-inch LCD HDTV set, was all they said it would be.
Set-up and programming was fast and easy, even for a senior citizen — and the picture quality is clear, sharp, and with brilliant colors !!
And all this with just a glorified “rabbit ears” antenna !!!
UPDATE – 10/28/09: The Viera is now connected to Cox Cable — and the picture quality is beyond excellent !!
Amazon’s bargain price and speedy delivery made this a rewarding buying experience !!
Great picture! Highly Versatile!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Bought this from Amazon and it was delivered within 3 days. Excellent picture, fast acting remote (very little delay if any). Best part of all, is the iPod dock. Interestingly enough the product says it’s iPod compatible (iPod Classic, Touch, Nano, etc.) but it also works great with my iPhone 3G and charges the battery. When I plug the iPhone 3G into the dock, I do receive the standard message on my phone that the iPhone isn’t designed to work with this particular item and asks if I want to switch to airplane mode to reduce any interference. I always say no (or the message will go away by itself within a few seconds). No problem with interference or compatibility so far. Very satisfied.
No analog audio output!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Amazon’s summary shows “Analog Audio Output: Yes”, but this HDTV only has a SPDIF (digital) output – so forget about hooking up a nice set of PC speakers. This wouldn’t be so bad, but the built-in speakers’ sound quality is awful. Another audio problem is that if you use HDMI, the speakers will only play sources with 2-channel PCM audio. So if you have a device like a NMT (networked media tank) and you play a movie with AC3 or AAC audio, nothing comes out of this TV. Audio is definitely a weakness, so you might want to consider a cheap amp and speakers for audio.
Video, on the other hand, is pretty good. Blacks are dark gray (as expected for an LCD), but otherwise the picture is very good right out of the box (with 720p HDMI input). I’m spoiled by my Pioneer Kuro plasma upstairs, but I find this picture very watchable for everyday viewing.
Great TV for bedroom.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Great TV for bedroom. Good sound quality and top-notch picture. Also, the IPOD connection is an added bonus.
Big Disappointment with Amazon’s service
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
The poor review is for amazon – not for the TV set. I would give a 5* rating for the TV set as I see it from retailers shop – I purchased it through amazon but never received!
Ordered this item from Amazon (Amazon was the seller) in 23rd November for the $359, free super saving shipping.
This was quite competitive with other sellers like 6ave etc. I trusted on amazon customer service and my past experience with amazon (amazon.co.uk) – it was showing that item in ’stock’ and will be dispatched in 3-6 weeks time. I made the purchase from amazon and received the confirmation email which never said that the item is tentative – and I was provided a tentative shipping date.
In due course I was mailed that the item will be shipped from 28th December-6th January. It was a shame that I didn’t take the chance to pick the same set from another seller during the black friday period and I counted on Amazon, Today I received an email saying : “Due to a lack of availability from our suppliers, we will not be able to obtain the following item(s) from your order: …”
This is absolutely ridiculous as the item is available everywhere – but most probable reason for this – well it’s not available anywhere at the price range near to $359! After waiting more than a month its extremely disappointing to get a communication from Amazon like this. Probably this is too small for Amazon – but you just lost a loyal customer (or probably two).
Great TV and delivery

The TV was a gift to my 88 year old mother. It was actually delivered several days early and the delivery person set it up, connected it and disposed of the packaging-WONDERFUL! The picture is great and she loves it-THANKS!

Fantastic Purchase

I bought this TV for my college dorm room and it meets every requirment I had. The price is reasonable and you’ll get a great quality TV worth every penny. I currently use mine as monitor to my Macbook (the picture quality is amazing.) I have an RCA home theater system plugged into it so I’m not a reliable source on the TV’s sound. However, I can vouge for ease of use (which is remarkably easy) and great picture quality. This TV was everything I had hoped for, and even more! The iPod dock comes in handy when I have friends over – it is a great addon to the TV and the program is very easy to use. I highly recommend this TV to anyone and everyone! If you have any questions regarding the TV feel free to ask me as I would be glad to help. Good luck in your shopping and I hope you choose this Panasonic!

I am new to HDTV and LCD. This replaced an old tube t.v. I was in the market for 32-37″ only, so I concluded from research that paying extra for 1080p and more than 60 mhz was not worth spending extra on since it was below 50″. Once I got this t.v., it was hooked up and playing within minutes via OTA and a blu ray/netflix player. Super easy setup. The picture is amazing. I did not expect such a wonderful picture for what I paid ($381). I have watched football, hockey, ice skating, bobsledding, and action movies and I have not noticed any judder or blurring during fast motion.
Plenty of hookups for the Wii, blu ray player, VCR, and more. Free shipping through Amazon/[...] and it got here within four days of my order. This t.v. is better than I expected; I hope it lasts a long time. That would be my only disappointment, but since it has been here for a week, I will have to wait and see.
Excellent product, excellent price

Bought this for my dad’s 72nd birthday through Amazon. Everything was smooth throughout the whole process. Set up was simple, picture is beautiful, sound is more than adequate for a living room, and all-in-all excellent value for what you’re getting.
Awesome LCD – Definitely better then the Samsung equivalent
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have been searching for the best LCD for kitchen/family room, hence no FULL HD as we don’t watch bluray movies in the kitchen/family room. Just wanted something with the following requirements:
- great for the kids;
- easy to use remote for the kids;
- next to nothing light reflection;
- non-full HD, i.e. 720p only;
- lots of inputs for connecting up game consoles and DVD player;
- well known reputable brand;
- built-in digital tuner;
- reasonably priced.
The only two which fitted my requirements were the Panasonic and the Samsung equivalent. When I did the on-line check for tech specs, the Panasonic was definitely the winner so then it was off to see the shops for the real thing. I could definitely see the difference between the two side by side watching the same picture. I found that the blacks were definitely more blacker on the Panasonic due to the higher contrast ratio with the Panasonic. The other important part was the sound, the sound on the newer LCD’s are usually quite bad, but I was very surprised to hear some good sound coming out of the Panasonic, nice base and also speech was very good no muffling sound.
If you are after the best picture and sound then you cannot beat the Panasonic TC-L32X1, it is definitely by far the better buy. Although, I must say that the Samsung does look a little better aesthetically.
REALLY nice <3

i had originally purchased the panasonic TC-32LX60 32-Inch LCD TV because of the reviews and the quality. after purchase, the seller emailed me apologizing because the tv i had ordered was out of stock. he had offered me this tv or a refund, and i went along and told him to switch my order. the tv arrived at my house 2 days later. (3 days before expected) which was pretty awesome. i never had a black tv, thinking the shinyness of it would distract me from my view, but surprisingly, as shiny as it is, the reflection doesnt bother me at all. the tv has 3 hdmi ports which is really cool. it also comes with an ipod dock so i can view any video from an ipod on the tv. thats very relevant because i just bought an ipod touch. it also has a memory card reader integrated which is also very exciting, although i dont believe it lets you watch videos from the memory card, which is kind of disappointing. the picture quality is GREAT. the colors are bright, and the picture is sharp. the sound wasnt as great as expected, you can hear everything really clear and perfect, but i would have liked it for it to be made a little loud, BUT thats ok cuz thats why theres home theater systems, which im pretty sure i wont have issues with the sound then. overall, im extremely happy to have gotten this tv for the price it was given to me (327.99. for that price, this tv was practically a gift. and the expedited shipping was extremely nice : )
great for the bedroom
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
other reviewers have noted that the sound quality is lacking – I have to agree it is not as good as other TV’s I have owned but as a bedroom set, its more than adequate. that said, the picture quality is GREAT, with black-blacks and fantastic skin tones. even standard def TV looks better than on my other sets. DVD’s are fantastic and the picture is as sharp as a tack.
the 8 ms LCD produces a minor amount of blurring that is only noticeable during sports and even then just barely – it does not detract from the viewing experience. my wife cannot see it at all. since we watch mostly news and movies in the bedroom, this is a huge upgrade from an older toshiba.
the remote has a symmetrical shape so in the dark you have problems telling if it is right side up or up side down in your hand – a bit of a nuisance that could have been avoided with glow-in-the-dark or lighted buttons. nothing to get upset about anyway.
overall, this is a fantastic second TV I would recommend to anyone for the price.

good deal for the money

I was apprehensive to buy this TV as it did not compare to the many high end features (DPI) other bigger screens had. But at this size, even without an HD connection, the picture is great. I was concerned that the wide screen setting would make the picture look out of whack. But it does not. I like it and would get another one if I can find it as cheap as I did. Under $400 is what I paid a few months back.
A solid performer

I bought this for a friend who does not subscribe to HDTV cable. The picture and sound are excellent for a standard cable hook-up. And the price was right!
Excellent HDTV
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We bought this HDTV after weeks of research….and it was worth it. Received the set last week, and it literally took minutes to set up. Very easy, simple instructions. It has a great dynamic contrast ratio, low power consumption (120 max, .7 standby)user-friendly remote, excellent viewing angle, suprisingly good sound. It also has an IPOD dock with a great on-screen interface. (other models in the series don’t, look for x1’s). We are using it in a bedroom (32 inch-perfect size). It also has a game mode if you hook up your PS3, xbox, etc. I ended up with over 100 channels (previously had 57 with old standard set…And the price? It always came in well under 32-inch Samsungs and Sonys which we were looking at. Panasonic continues to be an excellent brand.
Nice, very nice!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This TV is awesome. I am a Samsung plasma TV person, but I couldn’t beat the price that I found on this LCD $380 form buy.com through amazon. I am impressed with everything about this TV even with a 12000:1 contrast ratio this has a great picture, its not the 1,000,000:1 ratio my Samsung plasma TV but it is nice. It worked flawlessly out of the box also. I think our favorite feature of this TV is the IPOD dock, you plug it in and it works like a charm. Not only can you play music, which sounds great on the built in speakers but you can also play videos. If you are a person who has music videos or movies on your IPOD then what a treat for you. The picture from the IPOD to the TV is excellent! There is no lag in transfer, no hiccups at all. LCD TV’s don’t last as long as plasma TV’s but I have this one in the bedroom and it isn’t used as mush as the others so it should last a long time.
I had no problems at all with shipping everything was smooth and the IPOD dock came with it!
You will be happy with this one and all the features that come with it.

I selected this particuliar TV because it had a numnber of good reviews. I wasn’t disappointed…the picture is great, the fit and finish of the item is quite good. The SD memory card slot is a big plus. We enjoyed seeing our digital pictures in beautiful full screen color. The sorting feature enables you to group your pictures in a logical manner for better viewing as well. A good TV at a good price!
What a great TV with stunning Video and Great Audio
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a great LCD TV for the money. I had read some complaints about the sound level on this TV being bad and was already planning on adding a Secondary Audio source before I received it but after using it for the past week I am very impressed with audio quality and sound level, I can hear dialogue very well and I have never had to turn it up past 18 on the sound level (100 is Max), this TV has great audio, I have tried it via DirecTV RCA input, via HDMI with Netflix Roku and via a DVD player with component input and all sound great.
I don’t even have HD content yet but am very impressed with the Picture, very sharp, great color, nice blacks, great detail, great angle of view… absolutely no complaints.
Completely worth the money and puts my 5 year old 32 inch CRT Toshiba to shame.
so light–i love it! my super-techy fiance does too!

The TV itself is so light–I could almost carry it myself. Love the buttons/cable options on the side as well as the back (very handy for my gamer).
First HDTV
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This was our first HDTV, so of course, we’re thrilled with the picture. I was able to snag it from Amazon while on sale. I used amazon store credit from trading in old wii games and got the price down to below $200.
We are thoroughly happy with the purchase and the picture is just beautiful. You really notice the difference in sharpness between analog and digital channels – the digital channels are really mesmerizing and the colors so crisp and vibrant.
There are a wide range of features on this television and if you read the specs, you’ll see what I am talking about. There are also many inputs/outputs for all your hookups – especially nice are the 3 HDMI and the pc inputs, there are also rca and component inputs. The audio out is a digital optical audio out and this is annoying for those of us still with an analog setup, although there are converter boxes that can take care of this for under $50.
There are a lot of extra features on this tv that I won’t be using – like the ipod doc or sd card, but perhaps may use some day and they are nice to have. The picture though is stunning – and can be viewed from sharp angles. If you hadn’t made the leap to digital yet, wait for this one to go on sale and then snap it up at 720p and 32″ digital television looks really, really good.
an excellent HD TV at a great value with all of the basic and advanced features
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
**updated, I have discovered that the sound of the TV CAN be heard/played while the PC/VGA input is in use. It will even play the sound to my DVDs. The only catch is I must have my DVD burner on for the sound to be carried over to the PC (this includes sound from both the TV and DVD player). And, I have since been able to use a Comcast remote on the TV. I had a cable man here a couple of weeks ago and he gave me a new remote and programmed it in a second, he didn’t give me the code but at least I know now that these TVs are in fact compatible with Comcast remotes. The remote will even pull up my input menu so I can switch to something else.**
The review is for the Panasonic Viera 32″ LCD HD TV – model number: TC-L32X1.
I just got this TV last week and already I am in love with it. It has so many features, benefits and settings, but the one thing that resonates with everything on this TV is how user-friendly it is.
I got this TV because I was upgrading my old one (an RCA L26W11), which I made the mistake of purchasing as soon as it came out; that TV isn’t even a quarter as good as my Panasonic Viera, yet the price was nearly twice.
Be sure to check out the pics that I put up; I have included some pictures of the TV, remote and docking station which are all labeled.
The TV includes these items in the box:
the beautiful Panasonic Viera 32″ LCD HD TV – model number: TC-L32X.
a standing pedestal for the TV (this is black and shiny and blends in nicely with the TV)
a very detailed and easy-to-follow instructional booklet which also details Panasonic’s 1-year warranty
a color-coded large insert for easy to install instructions
a universal dock for your iPod which comes with a ferrite core for the cord
a cleaning kit with a lint-free cloth
a remote control (with batteries) that is just as beautiful and simple to use as the TV it’s operating
* various other papers that no one ever reads (about child safety and product registration) and a small set of screws
Note: this does not include a wall-hanging kit, however I have been told that it’s very simple to obtain one on Amazon. And if you prefer to get a Panasonic branded wall-hanging kit, the Panasonic item number is: TY-WK3L2RW.
You will experience an entirely new TV experience when you watch your Panasonic Viera for the very first time, because the picture is so crisp and detailed and lively. It’s like watching a waterfall or a butterfly that comes to life in your very own home. I have never seen a better picture that is more descriptive than this.
The TV includes a ton of inputs for all of your components, including 3 HDMI inputs (2 of which can be converted to DVI if you require that). I have my HD DVR box hooked up to it and it was very simple. I also have a second desktop hooked up to the PC input (RGB a/k/a VGA – 15-pin standard computer outlet) and a Panasonic DVD burner. Even though my equipment is old and not state-of-the-art electronics that was just purchased does not matter, because the TV makes everything so quick and easy to both install and use. If your computer is like mine and does not have its own sound source just connect a set of cheap speakers to it; that’s what I did since it was easier than hooking the computer up to the TV since the inputs were already being used. (By the way, you CAN listen to the TV while you’re using the computer.)
Speaking of the components, I really like the fact that you can label what each item is on the screen and customize it if you need to. Panasonic really streamlined an otherwise daunting chore of remembering what each input is for.
It is Energy Star rated which in laymen’s terms means that the TV will shut off automatically whenever it’s been on too long without any activity. However it’s very simple to override this if you wish. The TV also includes HDMI side inputs as well as more A/V inputs for hooking up a camcorder to view something quickly (all on the side).
I also love all of the menu features and set-up features included. You can adjust the picture size to 4 different sizes (I have found that FULL works and looks best with HD channels, as well as standard def ones). The audio can be adjusted to various sound-levels and to your exact liking. After reading some of the reviews I was very apprehensive as far as this was concerned because I did not know what to expect. But it has great sound. As a matter of fact I keep my sound on 1 (the lowest because I don’t like very loud noises) and I can hear everything so amazingly clear and sharply. In addition to the audio and picture size, there’s other menu features that can change the coloring and adjust lots of other things. Just remember, if you have multiple components like me you’re going to want to do these adjustments while you’re inside each of the specific inputs (otherwise whatever you do not change/adjust simply defaults to whatever it was set at by the manufacturer).
The appearance of the TV will absolutely become the focal point of your office, bedroom or wherever else you hook it up in because it is so intoxicating and almost overpowering in its apperance. You just want to look at its beauty and celebrate it. Besides a tiny, little, red indicator light (on the front of the panel), it’s entirely in black. The TV is also incredibly lightweight and super-slender. But the picture size (and image) and sound are huge.
The TV is compatible with your SD memory cards and includes an entirely detailed section (through the Viera Image Viewer link) for this. Also through the Viera Link, you can listen to your favorite songs on your iPod. I can’t tell you how much of an added bonus and a surprise this was.
I did want to remind everyone to always be sure to watch TV (specifically the HD channels) set to the Component input. It’s a little confusing (at least for me) because I found out that you can still get HD channels through the TV input, however the picture comes up in 480i. You need to always be in Component for the 720p picture and you’ll be fine.
Through the Viera Link Connection you will automatically be able to control any of your other **compatible** Panasonic components that are hooked up to the TV. However, there is a catch, and it’s a big catch. These must be “Panasonic HDAVI Control” equipped components that utilize an HDMI cable. Since my DVD burner (DMR-E20) was made sometime in the Stone Ages the Viera Link will not work for it.
As I touched on already, the instructional booklet is fantastic. It includes pictures, diagrams, info and lots of other useful text that reminds me of more of a computer manual than a TV booklet. I also had to contact Panasonic and received quick and speedy tech support by someone who understood what they were speaking about. As a (former) longtime RCA customer this was a godsend because RCA has non-existent support that only rivals their defective products that are only good for breaking down quickly.
Incidentally, although I was able to program the remote for the DVD burner, I discovered (after much time and energy trying otherwise) that my Comcast digital remote cannot be programed to control this TV. This is hardly the fault of Panasonic though and just only a minor inconvenience. For the time being at least I have taped each remote together with black double-sided electrical tape. It doesn’t look very nice but at least it beats searching for them all the time. But if anyone has been able to use their Comcast digital remote on this TV model please let me know how you did it.
In the future I plan to hook up a blu-ray player to this and I can only imagine how crisp and grand everything will appear. But for now, my DVDs look just fine on it and (at least to me) I can see a somewhat more detailed and enhanced picture. Speaking of blu-ray does anyone know if Panasonic makes a blu-ray player with integrated WI-FI? It seems like the LG 390 is the best on the market right now, but if I can keep with the Panasonic brand I would like to.
By the way, I strongly recommend getting this on Amazon as they have the very best prices and service. I purchased this from one of their partners (J&R Computers & Music World) and received it within 2 days flat. J&R packaged it very well and included lots of extra padding and even checked the inside of the contents before it was shipped to give it a further quality-control inspection. They even included my tracking number on Amazon less than 12 hours after the order was placed. J&R and Amazon get a full 5 stars.
***Beware*** I also noticed that Sixth Avenue Electronics City (a local NJ electronics brick and mortar store that’s more like a used car dealership that somehow morphed into online selling) is one of the sellers on Amazon. I do not recommend dealing with Sixth Avenue Electronics City/6ave for anything. I have had many very poor dealings with 6ave and do not recommend them under any circumstances, because, among other reasons they offer lousy customer service and support, substandard products and they do not care about their customers. (Throughout NJ, 6av is also infamous for their bait and switch ads. My father just had another incident with 6ave recently over this. Long story short, I told him that must have been nuts to try to deal with these cheats again no matter what their fraudulent ad stated because they simply refused to sell what they promised and he wasted nearly 2 hours of his time.) Last year my parents purchased a $2,000.00 LCD TV and when I called them with a couple of basic questions I was treated very rudely with a total lack of regard by 6ave (and this was not the first time 6ave treated me and my family like this). I have also purchased a defective TV from 6ave a couple of years ago and even though they sold me an inferior item they acted like they did nothing wrong and simply did not want to be bothered. So, even if you may have to pay a couple dollars more I strongly recommend that you steer clear of 6ave. If you do/did make the mistake of buying the TV (or anything else) from 6ave (like I did in the past) PLEASE be sure to make your purchase through Amazon. And do not hesitate file an A to Z claim as Amazon will recompense you for any losses (unlike 6ave) and do not believe anything 6ave says until you see proof with your own eyes. If you’re a potential customer considering this TV you will find this info very prudent as I have saved you a lot of time, hassle and trouble and most of all, your hard-earned money.

Awesome TV for the price…rivals my friends 500$ set!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This TV is really truely remarkable for the pricepoint. This TV rivals my friends $500 TV and I also got a iPod dock which he doesnt have on his. The only issue I have with this TV is the lack of RCA audio out and the VGA input is stuck in 4:3 ratio
Disappointed with this otherwise decent TV

After reading lots of reviews of many LCD TV brands I decided on this Panasonic VIERA model. With only five days left on my 30 day return option, I am seriously considering sending it back and getting another brand. The color and picture quality are adequate (but only after spending lots of time with adjustments) and I am mostly satisfied with the TV, except for a couple of problems.
One problem is with the dark scenes, nighttime, darkened rooms, etc. The screen goes nearly black and it is really hard to see details of the scene. I have tried messing with adjustments, brightness, sharpness, contrast, backlighting, etc and nothing seems to fix this problem. This is my first LCD TV, my old Toshiba lasted forever, so maybe this is typical with these TVs? I hope not!
The second problem, and this one is the real dealkiller, is the volume. It’s ok, sort of, with regular TV or Tivo, needs to be at around 40 to catch softer conversation but it works. With DVDs it’s a different story. The volume has to be jacked up all the way to 100 to catch normal or quiet conversation when watching DVDs. And this is in a quiet room with no ambient noise! My hearing is fine, and no problems with other TVs, just DVDs on the Panasonic. It is very annoying. I can’t find any setting that fixes this. Maybe it’s a defect in this TV. There are no jacks or audio outputs for easy external speaker attachment, plus one shouldn’t have to add speakers onto a 480.00 TV just to hear it!
I will probably send this TV back because once the 30 day return period is over I will probably regret keeping it.
Great TV at a great price

I needed a new TV that would fit in the wall unit I already had. This was a perfect fit, and it makes the TV it replaced look sick. I had no idea that TV could be so crisp, bright, and thoroughly enjoyable. We have this and another, larger LCD-TV hooked to Dish Network sattelite TV and the picture is stunning. Sound is very good, too. Nice features are the SD card slot for photo viewing and the iPod dock. We had to call Dish Network to get the dish to work properly on this set, but it was an easy call with them doing most of the work on their end…it took 15 minutes, tops. Great value for the money.
Panasonic TC-L32X1, audio insufficient
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I like this set, and will probably keep it. But be warned about the sound quality and quantity. As others have mentioned, the sound is only so-so. I don’t fault Panasonic for this – it’s just physics. You really can’t get very good sound out of something sized like this. What I do fault them for is the decision to include only a digital audio output on a set like this. If you already have a newer stereo reciever that you plan to use, you may not have a problem. But don’t count on finding powered speakers to use with this set. I have a nice external speaker/subwoofer set that I used with my old Panasonic, but it only has analog audio input. As does every other set of external speakers that I’ve looked at. I knew this going into it, but I was hoping the sound right out of the set would be adequate. It’s really not. I have my DVD piping the audio into my old externals, so that works okay for movie watching. But it doesn’t help with just watching TV, or with using the nifty iPOD dock. Your music is going to sound weak, which makes the omission of an analog audio jack even more puzzling. And don’t think you can just buy an inexpensive adaptor. I found one that is almost $70, which is more than the speakers cost. So I’ll hold off, and keep watching for someone to start selling a powered speaker set that has a digital audio input. But leaving off an analog audio output is just a case of poor engineering, or poor marketing.
Exactly what I expected…in a good way

I purchased two of these TVs for different family spaces within my home. Neither are part of a “Home Theatre”. Just a satellite tuner and a SD-DVD player connected. They’re replacing older 27″ CRT TVs that have started to flake out.
I was very pleased with the picture quality, neither TV will be viewed close up and neither has any “HD” devices a the inputs so the 720P resolution is more than adequate and presents a good-quality picture.
The iPod dock is a nice touch. The setup was very simple and quick and unit was light enough I was able to hang it by myself with little difficulty.
So I expected a good value on a lower cost TV and got exactly what I expected.
